The Beehive Book reading program is to encourage students to read different types of books. The Beehive Books are selected by a state committee of book loving people that pick some of the best books for Utah students to read.

Students can read the books, listen to the books, or have the books read to them. After reading a Beehive Book students then tell Ms. Nelson about the book. Students can talk to Ms. Nelson or write a short summary.

Every year the library hosts the Beehive Book Party.  This party is to reward students in grades 3-6 that have read 20 or more of the Beehive Books.

Where can Beehive Books be found?

• Beehive Books can be found at the Emerson library, the Salt Lake City libraries, the Salt Lake County libraries, and online through Sora.

What is Sora?

• The Sora app allows readers to use phones, tablets, and laptops to access books.
