This year (2025) Emerson's International Fundraiser is focused on helping finish the Tandika community center in Mbiko, Uganda to provide vocational training for women entrepreneurs.

Funds will be given to Tandika Revitalization Foundation; a non-profit organization in Mbiko, Uganda that works to empower women through no interest business loans. Emerson students have been raising money for Tandika since 2021. Mr. Craner is personally connected to Tandika. This past June, 2024, he was able to visit Tandika land and meet many of the amazing women personally impacted by the non-profit.

This is what the Emerson Community has helped fund so far:

2021– Helped start the Tandika (no interest) business loans program for women in Uganda. To date the loan program has helped 52 women.

2023– Helped purchase 3 acres of land for Tandika.

2024- Helped build the foundation & walls of the Community Center to provide vocational training for women.

2025- This year we are raising funds to help finish the community center.
